I’m always evolving, and so is my art. I work mostly with painting—watercolor, acrylic, and lately I’ve been diving deeper into oil. I’m also drawn to collage and ceramics when I feel the need to explore ideas through texture and form. Usually, I let my intuition guide me. I might start with a general idea of what I want to portray, and then I let that idea take me wherever it needs to go.
Nature shows up constantly in my work—not just in its appearance, but in its energy, rhythm, and mystery. I feel a deep connection to it, almost like it reveals parts of myself back to me. Recently, water has become more emphasized in my paintings. Significant of emotion, memory, transformation, and healing. Its movement, reflectivity and the way it adapts feels personal and universal. The moon and the female body are also recurring symbols, their cycles and pull have always enchanted me. I’m drawn to spherical shapes in general. These elements show up often in my artworks as I aim to depict the echoes of the body, the earth, and the cosmos and their connection. My work blends abstract expressionism, surrealism, and magical realism and recently a more romantic atmosphere has been present as well. As said above, female figures and natural elements often merge in my paintings—trees, rivers, roots tangled with thoughts. These images help me explore both my own identity and as well as a collective identity. I see nature and the cosmos not only as a mirror for myself but for humanity. A lot of what happens within us feels reflected in the natural world, like a constant loop between the inner and outer, although existence might seem chaotic and overwhelming many times, I mostly but certainly not always aim to depict my visions in an aesthetically pleasing and calming way, I strive for the sublime, since so much worry already surrounds humanity. Ceramics allow me to feel that relationship in a more physical way. Clay grounds me and it brings me into direct contact with the earth and adds another layer to the story I’m telling through paint.
I hope my work offers a moment of reflection or calm. A dreamy, organic space where people can feel part of something larger—and maybe even reconnect with something quiet but also intense and mystical, something essential inside themselves.
